I'm very lazy and impatient, so I've decided to do whatever I want to with the challenge that I found more than a month ago. I can't seem to get past numbers 7-10, so I'll start with #25. What the heck.
25. Your first Korean drama.
I was just thinking about this yesterday, determining in my mind what was the oldest drama I've ever seen. And, I came to a conclusion. It was "Dangerous Love," or 위험함 사랑. In the year of 2005, when I was ten years old, my parents and I (and sometimes my 7-year-old brother) watched the drama through KBS's website. I don't remember much from the drama, except the very ominous-sounding title. Then, soon after that, we picked up "Golden Apple," or 황금사과, which I almost fully remember, with the whole "경숙아~" and Ji Hyun Woo's "오빠, 화났다." I also remember Kim Ji Hoon's face, and the leading lady's face well. Finally, my third drama was "Pure 19," or 열아홉 순정, which I remember very well. I remember falling in love with Seo Ji Suk, and even having dreams about him, lol. Go Gwang Man is a famous character in my family, where my dad named one of our neighbors this, who has a wife that works and stays at home all day, tending to his family's house. "Pure 19" will remain a very memorable drama from my childhood, where I got to spend some great times with my parents, watching Korean dramas, the ultimate Korean pastime. Ah, the good old times...

Korean Drama Challenge #6
6. Your favorite song from a drama OST.
Hmm, this is a hard one. One of the most favorite things I like about Korean dramas is their soundtracks. Almost all of the songs are so beautiful and heartfelt. If I had to pick, I guess I would choose "Love Is Punishment" by K.Will, from "Shining Inheritance." It was one of the first songs I grew to really like from a drama, and even memorize all the lines of. More memorable OSTs would be from "Damo," "Gumiho," and "What Happened In Bali." I seems that I really like the old ones. And let's not forget, "Like That First Day" by Park Yong Ha, from "All In." But the OST that I really loved would be from "Nice Guy." I could not help listening to nonstop for several weeks, it gave me actual goosebumps.

Korean Drama Challenge #4 & #5
4. Your favorite male third wheel character.
I still haven't gotten the hang of this choosing thing that's going on with this drama challenge, but I'll try to analyze my favorites. The classic male third wheel would be Kang Shin Woo from "You're Beautiful," whom I desperately fell in love with during my first watch of the drama. Then, there's Yoon Ji Hoo from "Boys Over Flowers." Another one is someone who I wouldn't usually think of, Park Joon Se (played by Bae Soo Bin) from "Shining Inheritance." He really was the perfect guy. There's so many third wheels I can think of. An unusual one is Kang Joon Hee from "Reply 1997," who loves the guy, not the girl, of the main couple. A male third wheel that I so desperately wanted to get with the heroine was Lee Yul from "Goong," played so awesomely by Kim Jung Hoon, along with Hyun Sang Hee from "Lie To Me," played by Sung Joon.
5. Your favorite female third wheel character.
The character that comes to mind is Seo Na Yoon, played by Wang Ji Hye in "Protect the Boss." In the beginning, she's your usual snobby b*tch of a female third wheel, but she ends up befriending Eun Seol (Choi Kang Hee) and her best friend, and she turns out to be a pretty awesome gal. She's pretty hilarious, and I just loved the friendship between the three women, the karaoke scenes and getting drunk on soju. It really was a nice turn from the usual b*tching over the male lead.

Korean Drama Challenge #3
3. Your favorite female lead character.
In dramaland, a majority of female leads are put into the category of the typical Candy - pure/innocent, hardworking, usually poor. A lot of them are like Cinderella, swept up by rich guys, mostly chaebols. However, there are some exceptions, and those characters are worth cheering for. The character that first came to mind was Park Ha from "Rooftop Prince," with her feisty, spunky attitude. She doesn't have time for nonsense, and although there were times when I was agonizing at her stupidity, she was able to redeem herself by not being the expected noble idiot, the helpless, completely dumb heroine, when she confronted her evil stepsister. Another female character I personally liked was Oh Dal Ja from "Dal Ja's Spring," because she was just really likeable. She wasn't one of those exceptions, and her character was pretty simple, but I liked the way she felt like a real person, and how Chae Rim played her. In that sense, the female leads in "The Woman Who Wants To Marry" and "I Need Romance" can be examples of the type of female characters I seem to like. Hardworking, confident, and relatable careerwomen in their 30s.

Korean Drama Challenge #2
2. Your favorite male lead character.
I've never really thought about this before. Hmm... The characters that come to mind right now are Yi Gak of "Rooftop Prince," played so hilariously by Park Yoo Chun, Hwang Tae Kyung (Jang Geun Suk) of "You're Beautiful," and Dokko Jin (Cha Seung Won) of "Best Love." Then there's Kim Boong Do from "Queen In Hyun's Man," who has been hailed by drama experts as the most perfect male lead character of 2012. For me, he's pretty boring as a drama character, but I have to admit, he would make the perfect boyfriend. Yoo In Na is one lucky girl. Anyway, like the ones I've listed above, I seem to like the characters that really stand out, that make you laugh, the ones that probably don't exist in the real world. I think, before, I used to like those cold, snobby, chaebol-type male characters that somehow made you swoon, like Kim Joo Won (Hyun Bin) of "Secret Garden," but now, it's those crazy ones that do it for me. Right now, I'll go with Choi Han Kyul (Gong Yoo) of "Coffee Prince" and Seo In Woo (Park Shi Woo) of "Prosecutor Princess," for being such romantics in their love. Although Han Kyul was kind of annoying at first, his "I don't care if you're a guy or an alien" love confession had a deep impression on me. And Seo In Woo, for being such a caring male lead for his leading lady. This really feels contradicting of my said fancy for crazy guys, but oh well...

Korean Drama Challenge #1
1. Your favorite drama.
I have a lot of favorite Korean dramas, but if I had to pick one, it'd be "You're Beautiful." Ever since I watched the drama in 2010, I've completely fallen in love with it."You're Beautiful" is just pure genius. After almost three years since I watched it, it remains my favorite drama of all time. It has a re-watch value of about 10 points out of 10, where I think I've watched it again at least three times, the most I've watched any other drama. I wouldn't say that "You're Beautiful" was the best drama I've ever seen, but it is so addicting and just makes a fan girl out of me. I will never forget the Pig Rabbit, or Tae Kyung's "Go Mi Nam." And let's not forget, Jeremy's cute antics. Maybe it's because I'm still young, but it seems like a cheesy, gender-bender drama for teens like "You're Beautiful" will be my favorite Korean drama for a long time.
